Make Room for Love π
I love love. I love experiencing it. I love understanding it more deeply. I love watching others find it. I love all the variations of it. I love the struggle to keep it. I love the lessons learned when it's lost. I love the soaring feelings when it is found again. I love love and I'm not afraid to say so.
So it is no wonder that I loved pulling today's edition together. I hope you love it as much as I do.
Quote I'm Loving
βThe will to extend oneself for the purpose of nurturing one's own or another's inner spiritual growth.β - M. Scott Peck
I remember reading this quote for the first time in my early 20s. I have to say, it is a quote that has aged into something even better than when I first found it. It is the truest and most all-encompassing definition I've found. It speaks to loving ourselves and others by doing something beyond our comfort zone. It speaks to the idea of making room for growth. Notably, it doesn't speak to the reciprocation of that extending of one's self. It acknowledges that all beings have a spirit that can be encouraged by another towards a growth that may never be seen by anyone else. It reminds me to never give up even if I'm not seeing that growth that I'm extending myself to make room for. It reminds me there is always room for more of this kind of love in our world.

New Book I'm Loving
The first time I met Matt Higgins, he took a helicopter to make sure he wasn't late for our meeting. At the time, he was EVP of Business Operations for the New York Jets and flew in from their facility in New Jersey to meet me and Gary Vaynerchuk at Tribeca Grill to talk about my new start-up.
He took a helicopter to make sure young 28-year-old Andy could pitch him a biz-dev deal.
That is the kind of mindset and respect that I've seen Matt give to every opportunity that he's had. From working with the Jets to founding an investment firm with Gary to teaching at Harvard, to being a Guest Shark on Shark Tank, Matt has taken any plan B and thrown them overboard to go get what he really wanted in life.
His first book comes out today - Burn The Boats - and I am excited for more people to hear his incredible story and the life lessons he meticulously has pulled from his own story and the success stories from his incredible network. Β
GIVEAWAY: I'm going to send a copy to the first 5 people to reply to this email and say "Make Room For New Books" and send me their mailing address.
Member Opportunity I'm Loving
As this community of subscribers has grown, so has the number of people who have decided to join the inner circle and take this dinner party from their inbox to a couple of opportunities for live conversations and connection points each month.
The next paid member opportunity is this Friday's office hours - I'd love to see you there! Wanna talk about the weather? Wanna discuss your next big idea? Wanna get my thoughts on the future of education? Β I'm excited to dance to whatever music you decide to play.
I hope you are excited about loving something or someone today. If you feel so inclined to share, I'd love to hear about what you're loving!
Have an incredible rest of the week and remember to Make Room For Many.
Andy
